I’ve been jamming out to Navy Gangs for about two weeks now. Even though this EP is four songs long, they are taut little washed out gifts from the music powers that be.
The track ‘Instant Play’ has a nice sweeping feel to it. It hangs somewhere in between winter and spring; the slow season transformation that’s always been a bit remorseful for me, despite the lengthening days and warming temperatures. Maybe I just hate how long it takes for things to change sometimes.
NAVY GANGS IS A LITTLE BIT OF BIG HUSH, A LITTLE BIT OF KRILL, A LITTLE BIT OF SMASHING PUMPKINS, MAKES ME SOME DUMPLIN’S.
