Pummel demo – Review

Pummel hits hard in their 2016 Demo. The opening track, “Pummel Boogie” is an instrumental excursion into what is to come, a mix of simple yet enjoyable hardcore and punk from Boston. The album picks up with tracks like “Stone Cold” and “Spitfire,” two of the heavier tracks on the demo. “Shadow Boxing” and “The End” have a slightly slower pace and more pure-punk feel. There is no reinvention of the wheel here and the lyrics can tend to be shallow, but enough is there to make up for it.
